Influenced by Soul, Folk, Reggae & Gospel
A new name about to join that list of Brit School Alumni and burst on the music scene in a big way is singer/ songwriter and guitarist Shan Smile.
She has most recently released her self-produced project Prisoner Of Hope EP. The EP covers genres from Soul, Gospel & Pop and was a project born out of the pursuit of hope and belief in chasing your dreams. In Shan’s case, this dream is to be an established artist, to tour, to record, to share, to influence and inspire… vowing to be a “Prisoner of Hope”.
Shan Smile ended 2016 with a performance at the Pre MOBO Awards at Cadogan Hall in London, followed by a performance at the Barbican for the London Jazz Festival, Winning Project Aloft Star, an emerging artists competition run by the Starwood Hotel Group and Judged by BBC Radio1 DJ Huw Stephens, Spector Lead Singer Fred Macpherson and BBC Radio 1 Xtra Presenter Sian Anderson. To then entering 2017 landing her debut lead theatre role in the new Theatre Concert, UK/Europe Tour - Whitney Queen of the Night.
Amongst all of these great opportunities and new ventures Shan is also extremely excited to release her new original project and sound in 2018!
